The title of our inservice is Kids/Teens/Video-Computer Games

The impact of Computer and Video Games on Kids/Teens has been devastating. Unfortunately many of our students have become addicted to these games. The desire to play these games has ignited the switch for Impulse Control Disorders. Educational psychologists are hired by the manufactures of these games to create a "Mind Control" atmosphere that can impede and or devastate a child's development. They include the following;

1. Children have a constant preoccupation with the activity.

2. They become obese

3. The need for instant gratification

4. Fantasy violence component against women, children, and the less fortunate

5. Virtual reality becomes reality.

With the help of parents, prevention educators, schools, and the community at large we can start to take back our children's minds. We need to debrief our children, as they can continue their journey and become more production citizens.
